Ron LeBlanc: Amory, Mississippi; The journey… for 37 years my woodworking was meant for relatives and friends as gifts on special occasions. My daughter graduated in May, 2009 from the Mississippi University for Women with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She and my wife of 40 years have encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and subject my work to the scrutiny of others. Tina Lutz, artist, and the director of the GumTree Mueseum of Art in Tupelo, was especially kind in her critique of my work. “Nice” comments from family and friends are good for the soul; however, someone as notable as Ms Lutz validates my efforts and inspires me to remain committed to growth and embracing new ideas.
